Update: While my coding was correct this adapter was 3 volt logic and didn’t work. I ended up using an old USB to serial adapter and connection the RJ45 colors to the appropriate DE9 pins documented below. Repeater Programmed.

This is for my future reference if it helps you then fine. I need to program an MTR2000 repeater which is a serial device. Research shows a cable that should pinout like this:

I am using an adafruit USB to Serial bread board cable for the PC end. so the below should be my connections.

USB.White (RX de9.2) <——> RJ45.GREEN

USB.GREEN (TX de9.3) <——> RJ45.Brown-Stripe

USB.Black (GND d3 9.5) <——> RJ45.Blue-Strip
